Watch LIVE: Anansi and the Spider Re-Spun
The Unicorn Theatre are thrilled to announce their digitally created theatre experience, Anansi the Spider Re-spun for ages 3 – 8, streamed in partnership with The Guardian. There are three episodes, which they are streaming for free on their YouTube channel and on The Guardian’s website. One episode will be released every Saturday at 11am from 30 May, with each available on demand for the following three weeks.

Inspired by their 2019 five-star hit show, Anansi the Spider, about the infamous mischief-maker and master spinner of yarns, they’ve adapted these classic West African and Caribbean tales for Unicorn Online.
This fun online performance, featuring music, song and humour is an exciting new adventure!

Free Activities and Workshops
Along with each episode, they are also releasing a free creative activity pack for families to use. And, on 30th May they’re launching their free online workshop where viewers can learn a song from Anansi, send in a recording and feature in their online celebratory Anansi song party video which they’ll release in July.

After you have watched the shows you could compose your own music or sound effects for one of them, or your own puppet show. They have used guitar, whistling and harmonica.
